Aluminum fuel cell, also known as aluminum-air battery, is an energy-supply battery that takes in oxygen in the air and oxidizes aluminum, and hydrates it into aluminum hydroxide as the fuel cell electrode reaction to release energy in the form of electrochemistry. 

Electrode reaction: 

Negative electrode: (Al): 4Al-12e- = 4Al3+ 

Positive electrode: (Pt or Fe, etc.): 3O2 + 6H2O + 12e- = 12OH-

The total reaction formula: 4Al + 3O2 + 6H2O = 4Al(OH)3↓
